About the music:
For the members of
the SLUGS it is the most important thing that they only play the kind
of music that makes fun for themselves.
In no way they want to end up as a cover band at a fairground beer tent
or in a chicken cage inside a beer house. They like to leave the ever
lasting "Sweet Home Alabama" or the "Jumping Jack Flash" to other
bands which probably have more fun in doing that songs. But the
SLUGS doesn't play only their own stuff. They really like to interpret
songs from especially chosen musicians. By this time they have a focus
on Stevie Salas, Brother Cane, TM.Stevens, KingsX or the Stone Temple
Pilots. But the own songs really don't have to hide in any
case. They get improved during countless Jams and workouts until they've
that quality which satisfies the musicians. The most important fact in
this case is that there is always the groove that no one keeps sitting
calm in the audience.
