Das Flugfeld befindet sich ca.15 km von Cottbus entfernt in Richtung Süd-West.
Das Gelände wird hauptsächlich von Modellfliegern, aber auch
von den Ultraleichtfliegern genutzt.
Aufgrund der Nähe zum Dorf existiert eine Vereinbarung, welche
das Fliegen mit Verbrennungsmotoren an Sonn- und Feiertagen verbietet.
Ausgenommen von dieser Regelung sind Schleppmodelle und Hubschrauber.
